Lionel Giroux
1940-2022
Saturday, January 22nd, 2022, at the Villa Renaissance of Dalhousie, at the age of 81, passed away Mr. Lionel Giroux of Dalhousie, husband of Mrs. Anita (born Savoie) Giroux. He was the son of the late Géraldine (born Doucet) and the late Harold Giroux.
Besides his wife Anita, he will be sadly missed by his children: Gisele (Kevin) and Marc (Tammy) of Dalhousie; his grandchildren: Renée, Éric (Kim), Brad, Vanessa (Stéphane) and Alex (Marie-Claude); his great grandchildren: Noah, Emma, Owen, Myles, Xavier, Avery, and baby Blais; his sister and brothers: Sylvia, George, Omer, and Eugene also by many members of the Savoie family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sisters Therese and Blondine.
Lionel was the owner operator of his business Giroux Burner Service where he serviced residential furnaces until when he retired in 1996.
Funeral mass will be held in the Ste-Trinité Church, Eel River Dundee, on Wednesday, February 2nd at 11:00 am. Mr. Giroux will rest at Savoie Parlor, situated at 10 Church St., Eel River Dundee, on Tuesday evening February 1st from 7:00 till 9:00 pm. Due to current Covid regulations anyone attending the visitations at the funeral home or to the funeral service must show proof of Double Vaccination.
