Jacques "Jako" Blaquière

1955-2021

Jacques "Jako" Blaquière

Sunday, September 26th, 2021, at his residence, surrounded by his family, at the age of 66, passed away Jacques "Jako" Blaquière of Campbellton.  He was the son of the late Jeanne (born LeBourque) and the late Alexandre Blaquière.

Besides his friend at heart, Joanne Arsenault of Campbellton, he will be sadly missed by his children: Jolene of Armstrong, BC., Mathieu of Toronto and Josée of Campbellton; his grandchildren: Abigail, Hanna, Matthew and Sarah; his sisters and brothers: Lorraine (Lucien Losier) of Cormier-Village, Terry of Campbellton, Ronald (Nancy Winchester) of Dieppe, Richard (Marguerite Barthe) of Bathurst, Lise of Tide Head and Paulette of Campbellton; Joanne’s mother and brother, Mrs. Richarde Arsenault of Campbellton and Michel (Ann Lavoie) of Mann’s Mountain also by his aunt Rita and uncle George, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brothers Régis and Bernard, and Joanne’s father Jean Arsenault.

Jako's family and friends will remember his beautiful personality, his kindness and generosity, his great intelligence. He lived his passions with intensity. He especially enjoyed the woods, his rides on the water, he could spend hours fishing, motorcycling, especially his Harley. He felt free. He loved his Acadie Nouvelle and his crosswords.

Jako loved his family very much, his dog he called his buddy, his friends. He could bond with the elderly as well as with children.

Jako was a cheerful man with an unusual charm.

A private liturgy of words will be held at a later date because of the Covid's restrictions.  At that time, visitations will be held and communicated to the public. A donation to the Tree of Hope Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.  A special thank you to the Extra Mural for their services.
