Martine LeBlanc Weiman

1951-2021

Martine LeBlanc Weiman

Mrs. Martine (LeBlanc) Weiman of Pointe-à-la-Croix, unexpectedly passed away at home on Thursday, April 8, 2021.  She was the wife of the late Henry Weiman.

Martine was born on May 5, 1951 and raised in Dundee.  She was the daughter of Mrs. Jeanne (born Landry) and the late René LeBlanc.

Eager to gain her independence, Martine began working at an early age at the Radio Engineering Products factory in Atholville.  She remained employed there until its closure in the mid-1970's.  It was while working there that she met Henry Weiman, originally from Germany, whom she would marry in 1970, and settle in nearby Pointe-à- la Croix.

Martine was a very sociable person, who enjoyed spending time with family and many friends.  She spent much time visiting her mother, and particularly enjoyed her time, and her adventures, with her good friend Phyllis.  She also liked to read, crochet, and quilt.  She also greatly enjoyed visiting her daughter in Cape Breton, NS.

She will be sadly missed by her daughter Roswitha (Robert Digou) of Cape Breton, NS; her mother Jeanne LeBlanc of Dundee; her sisters and brothers: Jean-Marc (Lorette Dufresne) of Québec, Réjeanne (Joseph Perron) of Dundee, Roland (Anne Dugas) of Dundee, Donald of Rimouski, Roger of Campbellton, Diane (Pierre Turgeon) of Maltais, Aline (Ovila Soucy) of Blair Athol, Sylvie (Bert Francoeur) of Ontario, Odette (Steve Sweeney) of Balmoral and Nicole (Renaud Savoie) of Balmoral also by many members of her extended family, including nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was predeceased by her husband Henry in April 2016, and her father René.

Funeral mass will be held on Friday, August 20th at 02:00pm in the Our Lady of Snows Church, Campbellton.  Respecting Mrs. Martin LeBlanc Weiman’s wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
